Clark wishes he could remember, but the memories of his first day in Smallville are his parents', not his own.

His desire to know has grown since learning he met Lex that day, travelled to hospital with him and Lionel. His mother recalls how he reached out to Lex, touched his face and smiled, but Clark can't picture Lex's reaction.

He wants to know how it felt, making that connection.

Looking up, Clark finds Lex standing close, watching him, his expression curious. Instinctively, Clark's hand moves, brushing Lex's cheek. When Lex's eyes lock with his own, it feels like destiny.
